Guest Account

All users without a JHED ID (prospective students, parents, guardians, alumni, and others) are required to use a guest account in order to do the following:

Already have a Guest Account?

* Important: If you have already created your guest account, there is no further action. If you have forgotten your password, you can use your email’s “Forgot Password” feature to reset it.

How to Set Up a Guest Account

Setup instructions will differ depending on the type of email address you use to set up your account. There are two options:


With a Google or Microsoft Email Address

Users with an existing Google or Microsoft account can use their current Google or Microsoft email credentials to log in a as guest.

When presented with the Johns Hopkins sign-in page, enter your email address and click Next. On the next screen, enter the password for that email address and click Next.

      • Google Accounts – enter your Google email credentials and click Next.

      • Click Next again on the Sign in with “Google” page.

      • You may be prompted to verify your identity. Follow the instructions.

      • Click Continue.

      • You are now logged in.
      • Remember when logging in: Your email address is your Login ID. Ignore prompts to use your JHED ID.

 

      • Microsoft Accounts (outlook, live, hotmail) – enter your Microsoft email credentials and click Next.

      • Enter your Microsoft account password and click Next.

      • You are now logged in.
      • Remember when logging in: Your email address is your Login ID. Ignore prompts to use your JHED ID.

With Any Other Type of Email Address

If you have an email account other than Google or Microsoft, these steps will guide you through verifying your account so that you can log in as a guest.

      • When presented with the Johns Hopkins sign-in page, enter your email address and click Next.
        Login with other types of accounts like Yahoo.
      • Look for an email from Johns Hopkins (via Microsoft), with the subject line: Your Johns Hopkins account verification code.
      • Copy the account verification code from the email.
      • Go back to the Sign in page and enter the code.
      • Click the Sign in
      • You are now logged in.
      • Remember when logging in: Your email address is your Login ID. Ignore prompts to use your JHED ID.
